Roman Clemens, Bühnenbildner und Theater-Architekt (1910 - 1992), 1927-1931 Schüler am Bauhaus (Lehrer: P. Klee, W. Kandinsky, O. Schlemmer), 1931 Bauhaus-Diplom Nr. 39. Danach bis 1932 Bühnenbildner in Dessau. Von 1932 - 1943 Bühnenbildner am Opernhaus Zürich. Ab 1945 verschiedene Projekt für das Raumtheater, Internat. Ausstellungen. Die Siebdrucke wurden 1989 nach der Original-Collage in einer Aufl. von 58 (diese die Nr. 54) vom Künstler signierten u. nummerierten Exemplaren hergestellt. Die Bühnenbildentwürfe wurden von Clemens 1928 im Rahmen seines Studiums am Bauhaus erstellt. Das Musical, 1927 erstmals in Leipzig aufgeführt, erregte Aufsehen und Bewunderung. Das Blatt zeigt einen stilisierten, konstruktivistischen Bahnhof in dem eine Dampflok steht. Gerne senden wir Ihnen eine Abbildung. Sehr dekorativ.
